About Me

We are all on a journey finding our path in life.  This path is shaped by the things we experience and our choices.   My path has been one shaped by many opportunities to get a great education and develop skills leading to exciting career positions influencing organizational change, where vision setting, planning and organizing, and time and stress management were crucial to deliver results.

My life has also been very much shaped by having a life-long systemic chronic illness since childhood.  I learned early on the need to deal with the unknown, how to be adaptable and accepting, and how to learn to change and be resilient in the face of uncertainty.   A series of more recent health challenges have reminded me of the impermanence of life and my approach to living life where one sees and treasures each moment.

I will accompany you as you explore your current experience and consider changes you want to make.  I employ common coaching experiences and tools such as:

  • Vision setting and values exploration

  • Assessment of life and health satisfaction

  • Action planning and goal setting

  • Implementation and review

  • Support and accountability

My approach supports your forward movement by encouraging a structured process to formulate and take steps to achieve your goals.   My personal strengths of resilience, problem solving, planning and organizing, listening and connecting with others will facilitate the process for you to grow and change.

MY PERSONAL INTERESTS

I am a person who always wants to continue to learn and grow.  I expose myself to new ideas and I want to share those experiences with others.  In the past year I have been involved in numerous group coaching experiences, meditation seminars and retreats, support groups, and travel webinar tours for fun.  I practice meditation and mindfulness on a daily basis.  I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night.  The pandemic offered me an opportunity to hone my cooking skills and prepare simple yet healthy meals.  I also partake in calorie restricted eating as a way to allow my body to more effectively process food.  I support my own health with a number of complementary medicine healers, from chiropractic, to nutrition, to acupuncture, to massage.

I love being in nature and in gardens, even if it is my small Japanese inspired garden out front. I am a practitioner of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, and have recently started a Tai Chi practice. I also strive to do Kundalini style yoga moves as part of my daily experience. But I believe the true joy in life are the relationships and connections we have with others, so I try to build these into my daily life as much as possible.
